    Steel abrasives Shot&Grits

    Steel shot and Steel grits are made of the carbon steel in accordance to CSN 429823 and DIN8201. These products are mainly used for blasting technology of the surface treatment. We can deliver all sizes that you can find in the following tablets. You can also see the technical properties of the abrasives.

    Round Steel Shot
    are the spherical products of hypereutectic steel in fully heat treated condition suitable for majority of aplication. Mainly for blasting of the castings and forging, Shot peening, etc.

    Chilled iron abrasives Shot&Grits

    Usage:
    Round shot are used for kettles cleaning, ship weights, fisher´s net weight, strong-room filler, etc.
    Iron grits are used for processing of natural stone (cutting of blocks, grinding stone plates), rust pickling, removing of galvanization, pyrotechnical agents, protection against radioactivity (hospitals, nuclear powerstations), etc.

    Aluminium-oxide grits

    The grits are suitable for surface blasting of different materials but also as a filler for refractory. Mainly for high alumina monolithic castable. It is also used as a slag-forming agent. White and brown type of aluminium-oxide can be delivered.
    Grits are classified in accordance with FEPA standards. The grainsizes required in mm can also be delivered.

    Silicone carbide SiC for metallurgy usage

    Silicon carbide for metallurgy is used for alloying, deoxidation, inoculation of grafitic cast irons and steels. Silicon carbide is one of the important Silicon carriers in nowadays metallurgy.

    Property of SIC:
  • SiC is nearly without any foreign matters
  • Density of SiC is about 3,2 g/cm3
  • It is good solved in the stream of metall without carbon loss
  • It ias not melted but solved by steps, therefore its effect is used for long time
  • It is not a source of Hydrogen
  • For high content of carbon is a good carburizer with high effect for all initial carbon contents
  • It has wide use as a pre-inoculation agent for grafitic Cast irons
  • SiC is heat-stable even in oxidizin atmosphere
  • there are not problems with storage it is not humidity sensitive
